Job Summary
This part-time (50%) role at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) offers a unique opportunity to support the Chair of N-Dimensional User Experiences within a young, international research group focused on VR, AR, and AI. As an IT Technician, you will manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, perform system administration, and provide technical support for chair staff. A significant part of the role involves hands-on work with cutting-edge technology, including the procurement and maintenance of VR headsets, robotics hardware, room-scale setups, and 3D printing equipment. You will also manage web content and ensure GDPR compliance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving in a creative, academic environment. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in the IT field or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT support or system administration
- Experience in an academic or international scientific environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with innovative hardware such as VR headsets and robotics
- Practical experience in user management and server maintenance
