Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the Environmental Protection Agency involves the technical oversight and monitoring of waste management and wastewater disposal. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will review waste recovery concepts, monitor the disposal of soil and construction debris, and address illegal waste dumping. A significant portion of the role involves technical review of drainage plans and providing expert consultation to municipalities, developers, and planners. Required Skills
Education
Technician training or a completed degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Technology; alternatively, completed vocational training in the main construction trade with relevant professional experience (ideally with further training as a foreman/Polier).
Experience
- Professional experience in the main construction trade (e.g., masonry, road construction, or concrete work)
- Practical experience in construction workflows and processes
- Experience in interpreting technical regulations, plans, and licensing procedures
- Experience in negotiation and team-oriented collaboration
Languages
Additional
- Class B driver's license required; willingness to use private vehicle for official business (with mileage reimbursement); willingness to work across different subject areas.
