Job Summary
As a Tax Specialist for the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, you will be a key figure in the Accounting and Controlling department, managing complex tax matters for a large-scale religious and administrative organization. Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing tax issues—specifically regarding the VAT reform (§ 2b UStG)—preparing tax returns for corporate, income, and value-added tax, and ensuring smooth communication with the Tax Compliance unit. You will act as a primary consultant for internal staff and a point of contact for external tax advisors and auditors. Required Skills
Education
University Degree (Master/Diploma) in Business Administration or a comparable degree with a focus on tax law, or qualification as a Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater).
Experience
- Relevant professional experience in tax law or accounting
- Experience in handling corporate, income, and value-added tax matters
- Experience in taxation for public sector entities or commercial operations of public bodies (BgA)
- Proven experience in preparing tax returns and advance VAT notifications
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and internal consulting
