Job Summary

As a PLC Engineer at Zeppelin Systems in Kassel, you will take ownership of automation projects from conception to completion. Your daily responsibilities include programming PLC systems, creating HMI/PC process visualizations, and defining operational concepts in collaboration with hardware planning teams. You will be responsible for software testing, optimization, and supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Beyond development, you will conduct on-site commissioning and provide essential customer training to ensure smooth project handovers. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a completed vocational training as an Automation Technician with corresponding professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in PLC programming and the execution of automation projects
  • Extensive experience with Siemens S7 systems and associated visualization software
  • Proven experience in programming with STEP 7 and TIA Portal (STL, SCL, LAD/FBD)
  • Practical experience in commissioning industrial systems and conducting customer training
  • Experience in developing custom software components is preferred
