Job Summary
This role involves working for the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) to ensure environmental safety through radiation monitoring. As a technician, you will perform field measurements across a network of approximately 1,700 stations, primarily covering regions such as North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, and Saarland. Your day-to-day tasks include conducting mobile dose rate measurements, maintaining IT and data transmission systems, and documenting measurement site data. Additionally, you will provide technical support for specialized software and IT resources at the Bonn location. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with a background in electrical engineering and IT support who enjoys a mix of field work and office-based technical administration. Required Skills
Education
Degree as a State-Certified Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering or a comparable vocational qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in information technology, specifically in PC support and maintenance
- Practical experience in error analysis and troubleshooting of PC systems
- Experience with central ticket systems and mobile IT hardware is preferred
- Experience in conducting field measurements or technical documentation is beneficial
