Job Summary
As a Data Scientist & AI Engineer at Siemens Healthineers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by developing data-driven and AI-based solutions for Research & Development (R&D). Your daily responsibilities will include processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data, performing data cleaning and visualization, and designing strategies for data storage and traceability. You will be tasked with developing, deploying, and monitoring machine learning and deep learning models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to support product development within the Advanced Therapies business area. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with international stakeholders across R&D, IT, and business units. The position offers significant flexibility, including a mobile working arrangement of up to 60% within Germany and the possibility of working from abroad for up to 30 days per year, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals seeking a modern, dynamic work environment.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. A PhD is welcomed, or alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with additional professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience with data and analytics technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark
- Practical experience in the development of Machine Learning and Deep Learning models, including LLMs
- Experience in deploying, operating, and monitoring Generative AI models
- Professional experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience or initial exposure to MLOps and MLflow
- Experience in managing complex projects from ideation to production implementation
- Experience working in a global, multicultural environment with international stakeholders

- Mobile working up to 60% within Germany is possible. Option for up to 30 days of mobile work from selected foreign countries per year. Candidate must be able to work across different regions and time zones.
