Job Summary

As a Project Engineer at DB InfraGO AG, you will play a critical role in the large-scale renovation of Germany's rail infrastructure, focusing on major corridors such as Gelnhausen-Fulda and Frankfurt-Heidelberg. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating civil engineering, track construction, and cable civil engineering works to ensure high-quality execution. You will act as a central coordinator, steering planning offices, construction supervisors, and contractors while managing material logistics and ensuring compliance with DB regulations and official permits. This role is unique for its focus on Lean Management principles applied to massive infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of construction measures, from procurement support and operational planning to final acceptance and technical commissioning. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of Europe's largest construction sites, contributing to sustainable infrastructure for future generations within a supportive, flexible corporate environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Construction, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in project management, specifically regarding complex construction measures
  • Experience in coordinating civil engineering, track construction, or structural engineering projects
  • Proven track record in steering external contractors, planning offices, and construction supervisors
  • Experience with public-law permit applications and technical planning processes
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures and supplemental claim management
