Job Summary
As a Procurement Manager at ELANTAS in Hamburg, you will lead the site's purchasing department, ensuring a sustainable and cost-optimized supply of raw materials, indirect goods, and services. Your daily responsibilities include managing the full operational purchasing cycle from ordering to goods receipt, conducting complex price and contract negotiations, and performing supplier audits in collaboration with Quality Management. You will play a pivotal role in the company's sustainability efforts by sourcing ecological raw materials to improve the product carbon footprint. This role is unique for its blend of strategic sourcing and operational execution within the specialty chemicals industry, offering the chance to drive digitalization in purchasing processes across European operations while working in a stable, innovation-driven environment that supports the transition to electromobility and renewable energy.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Economics or a similar field of study.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar administrative role
- Professional experience within the chemical industry is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading price and contract negotiations
- Experience in supplier management and conducting supplier audits
- Experience in operational purchasing including order placement and deadline monitoring

- The role requires the ability to work independently and flexibility. Knowledge of SAP and a chemical background are considered beneficial but not mandatory.
