Job Summary
This role involves supporting the technical management of the Horb am Neckar municipal drainage department, a service-oriented public utility responsible for wastewater treatment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for project management across all HOAI phases, overseeing the construction and maintenance of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, and sewer networks. Your daily tasks include acting as the client representative for engineering firms, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and developing concepts for process automation and energy optimization. You will also manage procurement processes according to VOB/VgV regulations and maintain critical data systems like GIS and sewer databases. This position is unique for its blend of civil engineering and automation technology, offering a high degree of responsibility in environmental protection and sustainability within a supportive, modern team environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering (specializing in Civil Engineering/Urban Water Management), Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning, construction, and operation of wastewater systems is required.
- Several years of professional experience is desirable, though the position is also open to motivated career starters.
- Experience in managing external engineering and planning offices.
- Experience with public procurement law and technical standards (HOAI, VOB).
