Job Summary

This role operates at the intersection of chemical development, production, and process optimization within a regulated pharmaceutical environment in Munich. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of pharmaceutical processes, including the introduction of new products, commissioning, and large-scale plant expansions. Your daily activities involve planning and executing production and validation batches, performing root-cause analysis for troubleshooting, and managing change control processes. You will also be tasked with creating and revising critical manufacturing documentation, such as SOPs and production protocols. This position is ideal for a chemist who enjoys hands-on involvement in production environments and thrives in interdisciplinary teams. It offers the opportunity to drive innovation in process efficiency and workplace safety while working on high-impact pharmaceutical projects under a permanent full-time contract.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Process Engineering, or a related field; a PhD (Doctorate) is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Professional experience in organic chemistry or solid-phase chemistry including purification and analytical techniques
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical production environment is preferred
  • Experience in process planning, monitoring, and validation
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Experience in creating manufacturing documentation and managing change controls
