Job Summary

This role involves the control and continuous monitoring of power and district heating generation plants in Oberhausen. As a technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the trouble-free operation of steam boilers, steam turbines, heat exchangers, and all auxiliary units. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring operating parameters, maintaining safety and quality standards, and initiating corrective measures during process deviations. You will also support maintenance, inspection, and repair activities while documenting critical process data. This position is ideal for technical professionals with a background in energy systems who are comfortable working in a shift-based environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training in the electrical or mechanical field (e.g., Electronics Technician for Energy Systems, Industrial Mechanic, or Mechatronics Technician). Additional qualification as a Boiler Operator (Kesselwärter) or equivalent recognized further training is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation of energy generation plants or within a power plant environment
  • Experience in controlling and monitoring steam boilers, turbines, and heat exchangers
  • Practical experience in maintenance, inspection, and repair of industrial machinery
  • Proven experience working within a shift system (rotating shifts)
