Job Summary

As an IT Systems Administrator for the Brandenburg IT Service Provider (ZIT-BB), you will play a critical role in maintaining the central IT infrastructure for the Brandenburg State Police. Your daily responsibilities include the planning, operation, and optimization of Microsoft Exchange environments, Hyper-V virtualization solutions, and Microsoft cluster systems. You will be tasked with monitoring system health, performing error analysis, and developing automation scripts using PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Science, Economics, or a comparable field; alternatively, completed vocational training in a relevant field with extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of IT system administration or a related technical environment
  • Extensive experience in the administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Server systems
  • Practical experience in installing and operating Hyper-V virtualization and Microsoft clusters
  • Proven experience in PowerShell scripting for automation purposes
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience required if applying without a university degree
