Job Summary
This role involves leading the technical facility management team at the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital in Leipzig. The daily responsibilities include the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary (HVAC) systems to ensure smooth hospital operations. You will manage external contractors, coordinate operational resources including staff and budgets, and oversee complex replacement investments from planning to final acceptance. A key part of the role is ensuring compliance with strict hygiene regulations for drinking water and ventilation systems (VDI 6022). This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work and administrative coordination. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Heating, Ventilation, Plumbing, or Air Conditioning; or a Master Tradesperson/Technician degree (e.g., Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, Supply Engineering, or similar).
Experience
- Professional experience in HVAC and technical building equipment
- Experience in building automation and hygiene management for water and ventilation systems
- Previous experience in healthcare or hospital environments is preferred
- Leadership experience in coordinating operational processes and resources
- Experience in invoicing, documentation, and project oversight for technical investments
