Job Summary
As an IT Support Specialist for the FoodGenius team, you will serve as a critical link between customers and the technical infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations for restaurant and delivery service management systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve analyzing technical inquiries, performing log analysis, reproducing errors, and coordinating closely with development and infrastructure teams to provide sustainable solutions. You will be responsible for documenting workarounds, maintaining internal knowledge bases, and suggesting product improvements based on recurring issues. This role is unique because it moves beyond simple ticket processing into deep technical troubleshooting and system analysis. After an initial training period, you will participate in a structured 24/7 on-call rotation. The position offers a high-impact environment where you solve real operational problems in the food-tech sector, supported by a modern workplace and a culture that values hands-on professional development.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational IT training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration or equivalent)
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or Software Customer Service Management (CSM) or 1st/2nd level support
- Completed vocational training in IT, preferably as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration)
- Experience in analyzing and decomposing complex technical systems
- Professional experience in documenting technical solutions and workarounds
- Experience working with ticketing systems and monitoring tools is preferred

- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (Notdienst) is required. The role is primarily based on-site in St. Wendel, Germany, with remote work options available by arrangement.
