Job Summary

This role involves leading IT projects, primarily focusing on the rollout of new hardware in Garbsen schools, ensuring smooth operations and managing procurement processes based on technical requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for the city's Linux server systems, ensuring their constant availability, and acting as the primary technical contact, coordinating with external service providers. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or comparable qualification at Level 4 of the German Qualifications Framework, OR successful completion as a State-Certified IT Assistant. Successfully passed Trainer Aptitude Examination (AEVO). Additional IT certifications in Linux server environments (e.g., LPIC or CompTIA Linux) are a plus.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or equivalent qualification at Level 4 of the German Qualifications Framework
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as a State-Certified IT Assistant
  • Experience in leading IT projects, particularly hardware rollouts
  • Experience in managing Linux server systems
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers
  • Experience in training apprentices

Additional

  • Valid Class B driving license and willingness to use a private car for business purposes. For foreign degrees, a certificate evaluation from the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (ZAB) is required.
