Job Summary
As a System Engineer at infraView GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, you will be responsible for the operation and continuous development of cloud infrastructure within AWS, with a specific focus on Amazon EKS. Your daily activities will involve managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, and performing automation tasks using Python. You will also oversee monitoring and logging using tools like Grafana and CloudWatch. This role offers the unique flexibility of a 'work from anywhere' policy within Germany, combining the agile environment of a technology startup with the stability and extensive benefits of the Deutsche Bahn Group. You will play a critical role in supporting microservices written in Go, C#, or Java while ensuring robust security through DevSecOps principles and vulnerability monitoring.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in the field.
Experience
- Several years of practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically with EKS
- Professional experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD for automating build, test, and deployment processes
- Experience in the management and operation of microservices in Go, C#, or Java
- Practical knowledge in security and vulnerability monitoring
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM roles, OAuth2/OpenID)
