Job Summary
As the IT Manager for a high-tech microelectronics research institute in Stuttgart, you will lead a dedicated team of three staff members while ensuring the seamless operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role offers a unique long-term transition period, as you will be mentored by the retiring predecessor until late 2026. Your daily responsibilities include managing external service providers, advising executive leadership on strategic IT matters, and overseeing resource planning. You will spearhead critical projects involving NIS-2 compliance, ISO/IEC 27001 standards, and the implementation of open-source workstations. Additionally, you will manage IT budgets and public procurement processes. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Initial leadership experience in an IT environment, preferably within the public sector or similar structures
- Professional experience in managing IT infrastructure and external service providers
- Proven track record in strategic project management and resource planning
- Experience with Linux systems, particularly within Electronic Design Automation (EDA) environments
- Practical experience with open-source solutions and digital sovereignty initiatives
- Experience in budget management and public procurement processes
