Job Summary
As a Testing Assistant for Control and Safety Technology (LST), you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of Europe's largest rail network. Working out of Munich or Nuremberg, you will actively support expert inspectors during the partial and final acceptance testing of complex railway signaling and control systems. Your daily responsibilities include performing practical technical work on railway systems, verifying that installed components match planning and approval specifications, and conducting quality controls on technical documentation. You will also be responsible for drafting detailed test reports and expert opinions. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training in the electrotechnical field (e.g., Electrician, Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician) or a qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience in the maintenance of control and safety technology (LST) is preferred
- Practical experience in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics
- Experience in creating technical test reports and expert assessments
- Experience working in team-oriented environments with a focus on safety-critical operations
Languages
Additional
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays at construction sites; physical medical fitness for railway operations is a prerequisite (to be determined by a medical examination).
