Job Summary

As an Electrical Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of complex engine control and monitoring systems. Your daily activities will involve preparing test environments, installing systems, and conducting both manual and automated tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems. You will play a critical role in creating test specifications, wiring control systems according to circuit diagrams, and documenting results. A unique aspect of this position is the responsibility of presenting tested systems to international maritime classification societies for official acceptance. This role is ideal for a structured professional who enjoys technical troubleshooting and working within a tradition-rich motorsport environment. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure that customer-specific solutions and spare parts meet rigorous safety and performance standards before delivery.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Automation or Power Engineering, or a comparable qualification; must be a qualified electrician according to DIN VDE 0105-100 standards.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems
  • Experience working with automated test systems (HiL) is preferred
  • Experience in creating and expanding customer-specific test specifications
  • Proven experience in wiring and modifying control systems based on technical schematics
  • Experience coordinating with international regulatory or classification bodies

Additional

  • Willingness to perform occasional shift work is required. The role involves presenting systems to international ship classification societies for acceptance. Must have the technical status of a qualified electrician (Elektrofachkraft).
