Job Summary

This role is central to the development of the next generation of high-performance electric vehicles, specifically focusing on the 'Heart of Joy' functional and software architecture. As a Specialist Test Lead, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the comprehensive functional and software validation overview for the driving coordinator. Day-to-day activities include networking with various validation bodies, generating cyclic test status reports, and developing an requirements-based testing platform. You will act as a key player in delivering release-relevant validation content and will independently develop and execute test cases both within the vehicle and on static validation platforms. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team at the cutting edge of driving dynamics and integrated drive control, allowing for significant creative input and the chance to shape the future of high-performance electromobility within a traditional motorsport-oriented environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering or natural science field, or an equivalent technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in functional and E/E system development
  • Experience with E/E systems, control units, and standard E/E development processes
  • Expertise in using BMW-specific validation and testing tools
  • Experience in vehicle handling, preferably including driving at dynamic limits
  • Proven experience in handling vehicle measurement technology and application tools
