Job Summary

As a Metrology Technician, you will play a critical role in the development of engine, powertrain, and vehicle components for a leading international engineering partner. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing and executing complex 3D measurement series using advanced geometric measurement systems. You will be responsible for the entire workflow, from programming and simulating measurements to the operative evaluation of results and troubleshooting using diagnostic systems. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with development departments like Engineering and Special Metrology to prepare test objects and manage data within IT systems. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy high-precision work and want to contribute to innovative automotive solutions. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Geometric Metrology, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification. Mandatory certifications for operating specific measuring machines (e.g., Zeiss, Leitz) are required.

Experience

  • Several years of conceptual and operational experience in geometric metrology with a focus on 3D measurement systems.
  • Extensive experience in the development, specification, and implementation of complex geometric measurement tasks.
  • Proven expertise in the programming and handling of 3D measuring machines and associated hardware/software.
  • Professional experience in the automotive development environment, specifically regarding powertrain and vehicle components.
