Job Summary
This part-time Research Coordinator position at the Faculty of Medicine involves providing expert guidance to international researchers on securing third-party funding, particularly from major bodies like the DFG and EU/ERC. You will act as a central interface between scientists, administration, and external partners, ensuring research proposals are consistent, understandable, and compliant with formal requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating the University Medicine Network (NUM) at the Cologne site, organizing workshops, and generating analytical reports on faculty research activities. This role is ideal for a PhD holder in life sciences or medicine who enjoys scientific management and strategic project work. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma with a completed Doctorate (PhD) in Medicine, Life Sciences, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in scientific management and project/process management
- Proven knowledge of national and international higher education and funding landscapes
- Professional experience in advising researchers or applying for external third-party funding is preferred
- Experience in coordinating academic networks or interdisciplinary research interfaces
