Job Summary

This role involves the development and verification of innovative medical and combination products for an internationally active industrial company in the Mainz-Bingen region. As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design verification process, including planning, executing, and coordinating verification studies. You will ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and represent the evaluation department within the Device Development Team. Key tasks include creating submission-relevant plans and reports, managing design control elements, and collaborating closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Risk Management, and Usability Engineering. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly regulated environment with a focus on life-saving medical technology. The role features a hybrid work model with 2-3 days of home office per week, a competitive monthly salary of €5,402 plus performance bonuses, and long-term career prospects including a potential permanent takeover after the initial 12-month period.

Required Skills

Education

Completed academic degree in a Life Sciences discipline (e.g., Medical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a life sciences or medical technology environment
  • Professional experience with Design Control processes for combination products
  • Experience in planning, executing, and documenting design verifications for medical devices
  • Experience working within highly regulated industrial environments
