Job Summary

This role involves applying diverse material science and mechanical analysis techniques to characterize battery cell materials and their individual components, including mechanical-technological tests, microscopic techniques, chemical-physical methods, and powder analysis. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining measuring equipment, communicating with service providers for calibration and procurement, and supporting the development of new analytical methods for evaluating materials and components. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a (Chemical) Laboratory Technician, Materials Tester, Chemical-Technical Assistant, or a completed degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, or Materials Science is advantageous.

Experience

  • Professional experience in an analytical laboratory or comparable environment
  • Experience with Lithium-ion battery cells is desirable
