Job Summary
This role involves conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) on metal components and weld seams across a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including bridge and pipeline construction, power plants, and wind turbines. Based in Dessau, you will perform day-to-day inspections within a 100km radius, ensuring all testing complies with standard norms and quality management systems. Key responsibilities include planning and executing ultrasonic, radiographic, penetrant, visual, and magnetic particle inspections, followed by the formal evaluation and reporting of results. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring occupational safety, and supervising Level 2 inspectors and assistants. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in the metal sector; ideally holds certifications in NDT methods (UT, RT, PT, VT, MT).
Experience
- Professional experience in the metalworking industry or a related technical field
- Practical experience and knowledge in welding techniques
- Experience in evaluating and reporting test results for ultrasonic, radiographic, and surface inspection methods
- Experience in leading or instructing Level 2 inspectors and auxiliary staff
- Experience in maintaining technical equipment and adhering to safety protocols

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be willing to travel to construction sites within a 100km radius. Willingness to acquire hazardous goods permits (Gefahrgutschein) if not already held.
