Job Summary

This role involves working for the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport in Hameln. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of complex road designs, including hydraulic calculations and air pollutant studies. You will prepare planning approval documents for both simple and complex cases and manage external engineering firms when tasks are outsourced. A significant part of the role includes providing expert statements on objections during the planning approval process. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or a comparable university of applied sciences degree. For civil servants, eligibility for the first entry office of career group 2 in technical services is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in road planning and design is preferred
  • Experience in creating planning approval documents (Planfeststellungsunterlagen)
  • Experience in managing and coordinating external engineering offices
  • Practical experience using VESTRA software is desirable
  • Proven ability in systematic and structured project handling

  • Valid Class B (passenger car) driver's license is mandatory. Applicants must demonstrate German language proficiency at the C1 level or higher. The position is based in Hameln, Germany.
