This role offers a unique transition from hands-on technical contribution to people leadership within a fast-growing international e-commerce marketplace. Initially, you will dive deep into the codebase to master the infrastructure, focusing on Identity & Access Management (IAM), mailing services, and backend architecture. As you gain expertise, you will transition into a managerial role, leading a team of experts to define technical foundations, maintain the shop monolith, and develop tooling that empowers other product teams. You will be responsible for setting engineering standards, mentoring team members, and owning product delivery for the Developer Experience and Platform Area. This position is ideal for a senior engineer looking to step into management while remaining technically grounded in a modern environment that utilizes Golang, PHP, and Kubernetes. The role is highly flexible, offering fully remote work within Germany or office-based options in major cities like Berlin and Cologne.
