Job Summary
This role involves managing and securing a critical Windows-based infrastructure within a global maritime traffic monitoring environment. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Windows servers and clients, managing Active Directory, and overseeing MS 365 environments including Azure and Entra ID. A significant portion of the role focuses on IT security, where you will implement endpoint protection, handle patch and vulnerability management, and perform system hardening. You will work closely with the Information Security Officer to develop security policies and documentation. This position is ideal for a professional with initial experience in Windows administration who is eager to grow into modern security technologies. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a comparable qualification. Certified additional qualifications in administration and IT security are an advantage.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Windows System Administrator
- Experience in managing Active Directory and MS 365 environments
- Practical experience in automation and scripting using PowerShell
- Foundational experience in IT security frameworks and network security
- Experience in 2nd level support and technical documentation
