Job Summary

This role involves conducting independent audits for the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and six other Thuringian universities. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for verifying the regularity of cash and payment transactions, auditing budgetary and economic management, and ensuring compliance with legal and internal regulations, particularly in public procurement and budgetary law. You will play a key role in evaluating internal control systems, preparing detailed audit reports, and monitoring the implementation of recommended actions. This position offers a collaborative environment within a dedicated team, flexible working hours, and the stability of a permanent contract under the TV-L public service collective agreement. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Fachhochschule) in Public Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in auditing or accounting, preferably within the public administration sector
  • Experience in evaluating budgetary and economic management practices
  • Practical experience with ERP and billing systems
  • Several years of relevant professional experience if no university degree is held
