Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position based in Hamburg involves performing critical release testing and preservative challenge tests in accordance with Pharmacopoeia and ISO standards under strict GMP guidelines. As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing bacterial suspensions, determining total microbial counts using various cultural methods (pour plate, filtration, surface techniques), and testing samples for specific pathogens. The role requires a high degree of precision in evaluating culture plates and maintaining hygienic workplace standards. You will also manage raw data control, equipment responsibilities, and the creation of GMP-compliant documentation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician, Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in a laboratory environment, specifically in microbiology
- Experience working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is preferred
- Experience in performing release testing and preservative challenge tests
- Experience in cultural testing methods such as filtration and plate casting
- Experience in raw data control and equipment documentation
