Job Summary

As a Chemical Plant Operator in the Solvents division in Stade, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned plant units. Your daily tasks involve monitoring process equipment, control systems, and machinery from both the control room and on-site. You will execute operational tasks according to the Master Task List, including equipment preparation, sampling, and first-line maintenance. A key part of the role is proactive troubleshooting to resolve process deviations and participating in root cause analyses when necessary. You will work closely with shift team members to anticipate unplanned events and escalate issues when appropriate. Required Skills

Education

Certified Chemical Technician (Chemikant), Junior Chemical Operator (Chemiebetriebsjungwerker), or a comparable vocational qualification in the chemical industry.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical plant operations or a comparable industrial environment
  • Experience in monitoring and controlling process equipment and control systems
  • Experience in performing first-line maintenance and equipment preparation
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting and resolving process-related deviations
  • Experience working within a shift team environment

Additional

  • Must provide proof of G26.3 fitness (suitability for wearing heavy respiratory protection). Basic knowledge of labor law is required. The role involves shift work and requires the ability to perform physical on-site checks and laboratory tasks.
