Job Summary
This role involves working within the municipal drainage department of the City of Schweinfurt, specifically at the wastewater treatment plant's accredited environmental laboratory. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of sampling for liquid, solid, and gaseous media, including wastewater and sludge. Your daily tasks include maintaining online measuring devices and mobile sampling equipment, as well as performing complex chemical and physico-chemical analyses such as TOC/TNb determination, titration, photometry, and gravimetry. You will work strictly according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards and manage data within a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant), Chemical Technician (Chemikant), Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental analytical methods is preferred
- Experience in performing chemical and physical-chemical analysis procedures
- Experience in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory and field measurement equipment
- Experience working within a regulated quality management system (ISO 17025)

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Physical resilience for field sampling and technical tasks is necessary. This is a fixed-term parental leave replacement position for approximately 2 years.
