Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the Finance Department of the City of Blankenburg (Harz) offers a diverse role focused on municipal financial management. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of fixed assets, including recording master data in financial software, coordinating inventory procedures, and documenting valuation guidelines. A significant portion of the role involves budgetary planning, preparing annual financial statements, and developing liquidity and investment plans. You will also oversee the digital invoice workflow and assist with tax declarations (VAT, corporate, and trade tax). Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt or Bachelor of Arts), Business Administration (Diplom or Bachelor), or completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public municipal budgeting and accounting is highly desirable
- Fundamental knowledge in financial accounting
- Experience in managing strategic and operational controlling instruments
- Proven experience in organizational and time management
- Experience in conducting internal training sessions is preferred
