Job Summary

As an IT Domain Architect for the City of Stuttgart, you will take full strategic and technical responsibility for the city-wide dashboard platform (currently Qlik Sense). Your day-to-day role involves ensuring reliable operations, managing data architecture, and expanding the platform's capabilities through the integration of relevant interfaces. You will play a pivotal role in city-wide BI and Smart City projects, making critical decisions on software architecture and data management. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy bridging the gap between technical implementation and strategic planning. You will represent the city in strategic committees and ensure comprehensive documentation of the software landscape. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or a comparable field. For foreign degrees, official German recognition/equivalence and certified translations are required.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in information technology or a related field
  • Extensive experience in system and data integration across the full software lifecycle
  • Proven experience with SAP, SQL, and web interfaces
  • Experience in strategic decision-making within BI or data-driven projects
  • Professional experience in public service or high-level IT administration is preferred

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Must have C1 level German proficiency. Candidates may be eligible for civil servant status (gehobener informationstechnischer Dienst). Position is based in Stuttgart with some mobile work options.
