Job Summary

This role involves taking full responsibility for the design, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems and assemblies within naval shipbuilding projects. Working in the Electronics and Weapon Systems department, you will manage systems ranging from automation and propulsion to advanced communication, sensor, and combat management systems. Your day-to-day will involve creating technical specifications, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and information security standards are met. You will act as a key liaison between internal departments, external subcontractors, and government authorities. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, a qualification as a state-certified Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the shipbuilding industry or maritime sector is preferred
  • Experience with the German Navy (Deutsche Marine) is considered an advantage
  • Experience in technical negotiations and offer evaluation with suppliers
  • Professional experience in the design and integration of electrical or electronic assemblies
  • Experience in preparing acceptance tests, handovers, and commissioning for maritime vessels
