Job Summary
This role involves the series introduction of new materials and manufacturing processes for aviation cabin and air conditioning components, with a specialized focus on lightweight construction and high-quality technical and optical surfaces. As a Development Engineer, you will conduct material and process qualifications to ensure industrial reproducibility and characterize relevant parameters. You will act as a key technical consultant, supporting production lines to ensure smooth operations and assisting design teams with material selection during product development. Additionally, you will play a vital role in the supply chain by performing supplier qualifications and on-site release audits. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in surfaces, paints, films, or fabrics (excluding internships)
- Professional experience in material and process qualification and characterization
- Experience in production support and industrial reproducibility
- Experience in supplier qualification and on-site audits
