Job Summary

The Academy for Church and Diaconia (akd) is seeking a Director of Studies for a one-year funded project starting in May 2026. In this role, you will be the lead strategist for integrating Artificial Intelligence into professional development programs. Your daily responsibilities include monitoring AI trends in education, developing AI-supported tools, and embedding these applications into blended learning environments and the Moodle platform. You will play a pivotal role in upskilling the internal team and external lecturers while ensuring all AI implementations adhere to strict ethical and data protection standards. This position is ideal for an innovative professional who can bridge the gap between emerging technology and adult education. The role offers significant creative freedom, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to establish best-practice models for the nationwide Diaconia network, all within a supportive and interdisciplinary team environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in a relevant field such as AI Applications, Information Science, Adult Education, or Human Resources Development.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the practical application of AI within vocational or continuing education
  • Experience in organizing and executing educational processes, including online and hybrid formats
  • Proven track record in the independent development of event and workshop formats
  • Experience working within or knowledge of church and diaconal organizational structures
