Job Summary
As the Laboratory Manager for Sensor Technology, you will lead a specialized team responsible for the development, testing, and calibration of advanced measurement devices used in high-tech sectors like battery technology and medical engineering. Your daily responsibilities include managing the department budget, personnel planning, and overseeing the entire material flow. You will play a pivotal role in transitioning newly developed sensors into series production, which involves designing automated calibration stands and optimizing existing testing processes. Beyond technical oversight, you will drive the digitalization of measurement tools and resolve complex quality issues or customer complaints. This position is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys a mix of hands-on engineering—such as troubleshooting analog/digital circuits—and strategic department management. The role offers the stability of a market leader combined with the flexibility of modern working models, including home office options and flat hierarchies.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification in Automation, Measurement, or Control Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in analog and digital circuit technology and electronic components
- Experience in personnel leadership and technical team development
- Experience in production design and process optimization
- Ideally, experience in PCB (printed circuit board) design
- Proven experience in project calculation and departmental budget responsibility
- Experience in creating technical documentation and work instructions
