Job Summary
This role involves joining the 'Emergent Dynamics in Living Systems' research group at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen. As a PhD candidate, you will work within the European Doctoral Network 'CAFE-BIO' on the project 'Proliferating active media.' Your day-to-day work will focus on investigating the collective dynamics of multicellular systems, such as tissues and bacterial colonies, using computer simulations and non-equilibrium statistical physics. You will specifically study the interactions between mechanical cell activities, including growth, division, and motility. This position offers a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, providing the opportunity to contribute to fundamental theoretical and experimental research. Required Skills
Education
Excellent Master's degree (or equivalent) in Theoretical Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines.
