Job Summary
As an AI & Automation Specialist based in Essen, you will play a pivotal role in transforming manual business processes into efficient, automated workflows across a large service-oriented corporate group. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve identifying high-impact use cases, conducting deep process analyses, and deciding on the best technical approach—whether it be AI, RPA, or custom workflows. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of solutions, from initial prototyping and MVP development to full-scale production deployment. This includes building AI-supported chatbots, automating document processing, and integrating systems via APIs. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys bridging the gap between IT, compliance, and operational departments. The role offers significant creative freedom, a strategic mandate to build AI applications from the ground up, and an attractive package including a salary up to €85,000, flexible working hours, and two days of remote work per week.
Required Skills
Education
University degree or equivalent qualification in Business, IT, or Digitalization.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in transformation, process, or digitalization projects
- Proven track record in the practical implementation or prototyping of AI and automation solutions
- Experience in identifying, prioritizing, and economically evaluating business use cases
- Experience in managing external partners and service providers
- Professional experience in stakeholder management across IT, legal/compliance, and management levels
