Job Summary
As a DevOps Engineer at John Deere's Mannheim plant, you will play a pivotal role in developing and configuring infrastructure for application software used in electronic control units for tractors. Your daily responsibilities include creating scripts for continuous integration, managing build automation, and resolving complex technical issues through a cross-disciplinary approach. You will act as a key technical point of contact for software development teams and collaborate with international development sites. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Automation Technology, or an equivalent field.
Experience
- Professional experience in software development using Node.js and Git
- Practical experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and build automation using Jenkins
- Experience working with GitHub Actions and Workflows
- Experience in the development of embedded software or software systems is preferred
- Experience working within agile software development environments
- Experience in cross-functional technical problem solving and international collaboration

- General willingness to travel both nationally and internationally is required. This is a fixed-term position initially offered via temporary employment (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) with the goal of permanent takeover.
