Job Summary

As an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that naval vessels meet all electromagnetic requirements throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept to sea trials. Your daily responsibilities include defining project-specific EMC requirements, developing design guidelines for component placement both above and below deck, and providing technical expertise to internal departments and external subcontractors. You will lead the planning and execution of EMC testing and measurements on board, utilizing advanced simulation tools like Ansys Electronics Desktop to analyze electromagnetic behavior. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy a mix of theoretical analysis and hands-on verification in a complex maritime environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) within an engineering context
  • Experience with national and international EMC regulations and naval construction specifications
  • Experience working with classification society regulations
  • Preferred experience collaborating with public or military clients
  • Experience in performing technical analyses and simulations using modern software tools
