This multifaceted role involves managing events for the newly constructed 'Plarena' culture and sports hall in Plankstadt, while simultaneously supporting the municipal library's operations. The successful candidate will take charge of the end-to-end organization, marketing, and execution of cultural events, including press relations and post-event reporting. In the library setting, the role focuses on developing media education programs—both digital and traditional—for various age groups and assisting with daily circulation services. This position is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys community engagement and cultural management. It offers the stability of the German public service sector (TVöD), flexible working hours (50-100% capacity), and the unique opportunity to shape the programming of a brand-new cultural venue. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in Library Science, Event Management, Cultural Management, Media Pedagogy, Public Administration, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in event management, cultural management, or library services

  • Experience in creating marketing materials and press releases
  • Background in developing educational or media-based programs for children and adults
