Job Summary

As a Materials Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the process capability of rotary forming processes for molybdenum and tungsten-based materials. Your day-to-day activities will involve the further development of existing manufacturing technologies, expanding data-driven process control, and integrating new technologies into series production. You will play a key role in identifying optimization potentials and implementing them through Operational Excellence (OPEX) projects. This position is ideal for a technical expert who enjoys working with high-performance metals in a dynamic team environment. It is a full-time, permanent position based at Plansee SE, focusing on the processing of some of the world's strongest metals.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or PhD) in Materials Science, Forming Technology, or a similar field; alternatively, comparable vocational training with advanced technical certification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in materials science or forming technology preferred
  • Extensive professional experience as a Process Engineer if applying with vocational training background
  • Proven experience in the forming of metallic materials
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process optimization potentials
