Job Summary

This role involves leading customer-focused development projects for finished and semi-finished products made from refractory metals like Molybdenum and Tungsten. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning and conducting experiments to documenting results and overseeing the transition into full-scale production. A key part of the position is collaborating with global departments including Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Process Engineering to evaluate manufacturing technologies for quality and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you will provide expert technical consulting for material and process issues within the production environment. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys working in an international setting and wants to influence the stability and efficiency of high-tech manufacturing processes. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Materials Science, Non-ferrous Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Metal Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a PhD in a related field; alternatively, a comparable technical qualification with extensive professional practice.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in materials science or non-ferrous metallurgy
  • Professional experience in leading international development projects
  • Proven experience in powder metallurgy and metal processing technologies
  • Experience in evaluating manufacturing technologies for quality and economic efficiency
  • Experience in product transition from development to production
