Job Summary
This role involves the independent planning, tendering, and supervision of coastal and flood protection projects, as well as river development within the Verden region of Lower Saxony. As a Civil Engineer for the NLWKN, you will manage projects from initial site investigation through to design, approval, and construction phases. Key responsibilities include preparing tender documents, overseeing construction sites, and calculating engineering fees based on HOAI standards. You will act as a primary consultant for project carriers regarding financing and legal requirements. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree (FH or Bachelor) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Management, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning and construction of flood protection or water management projects
- Experience in creating design, approval, and execution planning
- Practical experience in construction supervision and site management
- Experience with public procurement procedures and e-tendering platforms
- Experience in calculating engineering fees according to HOAI
- Experience in coordinating with authorities, construction companies, and specialist planners

Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory. Physical fitness for outdoor field work in rough terrain is required. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.
