Job Summary
This role involves the professional coordination and legal processing of residency and migration cases within the Foreigners' Authority of the Saalekreis district in Merseburg. As a Specialist Coordinator, you will provide technical guidance to caseworkers, handle complex legal matters, and represent the authority in administrative court proceedings and legal disputes. Your day-to-day responsibilities include making decisions on residency permits, managing deportation procedures, and coordinating with courts, police, and embassies for passport procurement. This position is ideal for legal or administrative professionals who enjoy high-stakes decision-making and autonomous work. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of public administration and international law, specifically focusing on cases related to Ukraine and the EU. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Public Administration, Law (First State Examination), or successful completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration or legal services
- Practical knowledge of administrative and procedural law is preferred
- Specialized experience in migration or residency law is highly advantageous
- Experience in handling legal disputes and administrative court proceedings
- Experience in autonomous decision-making and professional consultation
