Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the City of Hockenheim's Department of Building and Housing focuses on the management and maintenance of local infrastructure. As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the independent processing of drainage applications, preparation of tenders for sewer cleaning and renovation, and the oversight of construction billing and cost control. A significant portion of the role involves providing technical advice to citizens, developers, and planners regarding wastewater technology, as well as supervising the maintenance of municipal fountain systems. This role is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys a mix of office-based administrative planning and on-site inspection work. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Civil Engineering Technician (Bautechniker), Master Road Builder (Straßenbaumeister), or a comparable degree in Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in a comparable field of civil engineering or infrastructure management
- Experience in the independent examination and processing of drainage applications and legal frameworks
- Experience in creating tenders, pre-calculations, and price mirrors for public works
- Experience in construction measurement, quantity calculations, and site acceptance
