Job Summary
As a Project Developer for Renewable Energy and Generation, you will be responsible for designing energetic concepts and calculations for electricity and heat supply solutions tailored to commercial-industrial sites and urban quarters. Your daily activities involve evaluating business models for renewable energy plants—including CHP units, heat pumps, boilers, photovoltaics, and wind—in close collaboration with network operators and external partners. You will identify financial investment opportunities in wind and solar parks while maintaining vital networks with local municipalities and authorities. This role is highly impactful as you will drive the development of the company's own generation facilities and optimize control systems through data-based planning. Based in Jena, this position offers a high degree of autonomy within a stable, family-friendly regional utility company, featuring a 38-hour work week and flexible mobile working options.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Energy Technology, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with a focus on Energy and Environment.
Experience
- Professional experience in developing energy concepts and calculations for industrial or residential sectors
- Experience in evaluating business models for regenerative energy generation plants
- Proven track record in project management within the renewable energy sector (PV, Wind, CHP, or Heat Pumps)
- Experience in networking and communication with municipalities and public authorities
- Experience in investment planning and economic forecasting for energy projects
