This role involves leading and managing infrastructure projects for the City of Göttingen, specifically within the newly restructured Urban Space and Environment department. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the construction and renovation of traffic facilities including sidewalks, cycle paths, and roadways, as well as the development of new residential and commercial areas. Your daily activities will include coordinating with various internal departments and external partners, managing administrative processes, and conducting field inspections at construction sites. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (B.Eng./B.Sc.) or a comparable field; alternatively, a qualification as a State-Certified Technician specializing in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering or infrastructure project management
- Ideally at least 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Experience in public administration is preferred
- Experience with construction regulations and procurement law (HOAI, VOB, UVgO)
- Practical experience in field work and construction site monitoring
